Manchester United 0 - 0 Arsenal
Like all other encounters between these two titans, the one last night was equally eventful. Three seasons ago, Arsenal was trounced 6-1 at Old Trafford. Two seasons ago, Arsenal won the Premier League at Old Trafford (muahahaha) thanks t a Wiltord goal, and last season, Arsenal was soundly beaten 2 - 0.
It was a relatively boring game until the 80th minute when Vieira was sent off after kicking out at Nistelrooy. Apparently, Vieira tackled Nistelrooy, Nistelrooy jumped up, landed with boots on Vieira, and kicked Vieira. Vieira responded by kicking out at Nistelrooy, ala Beckham-Simeone style. The ref gave Vieira a second yellow card, and Nistelrooy was scott-free if not for the assistant referee who saw Nistelrooy who gave the initial kick. So, a yellow card for Nistelrooy for the kick, and a second yellow card for Vieira for responding.
The 91st minute was even more exciting. Forlan and Keown tussled in the penalty area, with Keown climbing all over Forlan, resulting in a penalty. What the hell... a last minute penalty?? But, up came Nistelrooy to make his third penalty miss of the season. WOOHOO!!!! The crowd goes wild! So did Keown, who celebrated right in front of Nistelrooy. WOOHOO!!! I would have done the same. The scummer Nistelrooy is always giving crap to Keown. And Keown is about 10 years Nistelrooy's senior. Talk about respect man...
Anyway, Oliver is still not over the "unprofessionalism" and "dirty play" of Arsenal. I say, move on man... stop averting the main issue which is that Man U failed to beat an Arsenal side without Pires, Wiltord and Sol Campbell. On top of that, Arsenal was "supposed" to lose because Arsenal was beaten 3-0 by Inter, and Man U beat Panathinaikos (what?) 5-0. Also, Man U is supposed to trounce an Arsenal side without Vieira for the last 10 minutes. So much for a poor Arsenal defence eh?
What a sleepy Monday morning....
