Well, after watching the highlights, here are my five cents worth.

Vieira deserves the second yellow card and, hence, deserves to be sent off. However, the FA should not just stop at that. They should really look into what caused the chain of events that occured after the sending off. In my opinion, it was that number 10, RVN. Vieira's kick towards him would not have hit him even if he had stayed put. However, he made sure the ref had an eyeful of what Vieira was trying to do. This clearly shows that RVN is a player who is very clever at thearetical acts and play acting. The smirk on his face when Vieira was sent off showed that he succeeded in provoking Vieira to get him sent off. I don't know about you guys, but that's dirty play in my books. He has been known to get keepers sent off (against a team in the CL last season) by diving, earning a penalty against Ipswich by diving. Of course, nobody remembers this, but everyone remembers Pires diving last week against Portsmouth or Bergkamp elbowing Bowyer while he was still at West Ham. C'mon FA, after two seasons, everybody knows that RVN is a player who is out to provoke players and earn penalties "illegally". It's about time that referees keep an eye out for him. If they can do the same for Sol Campbell and Patrick Vieira, I'm sure an extra eye on RVN won't hurt.

Also, everyone is complaining about the Arsenal players manhandling and shoving Man U players. Maybe these people forgot to notice the rugby tackle by Quinton Fortune on Jens Lehmann. Or I guess it's just, as what PM Goh once said, selective amnesia by these people. Goading in front of RVN is something spectacular which I have not seen before. Normally if an opponent misses a penalty, the "bad" team will celebrate with the goalkeeper. But not this time. Obviously, the fact that RVN was treated that way showed how hated he is by the Arsenal defense. Not because he is a good goalscorer (he didn't score anything, only one shot on target). But because he used his acting to get Vieira sent off. Goading and gloating in front of RVN is not a crime. Players have showed the middle finger to the crowd and only been warned or fined. I think this is the same.

The main issue is the pushing and shoving at the end of the match. Hello? This is a man's game. Of course there will be pushing and shoving. Anybody who does not want to see pushing and shoving can go and watch takraw instead (haha). If pushing and shoving are no longer allowed in soccer, what is there to watch anymore? If the FA were to dock the Arsenal players for pushing and shoving, then obviously many MU players, namely Quinton Fortune, Gary Neville and Ronaldo should be charged too. If not, then it will further affirm my belief that the FA are "Manure fans" as quoted by Frederick of Singapore.

Overall, here are my views:
1. Vieira shouldn't complain about the second yellow card.
2. Refs should keep an eye on RVN.
3. If Arsenal players are gonna be booked for goading RVN, maximum is a fine. No point deduction.
4. If Arsenal players are gonna be booked for manhandling and shoving, then so should Man U players.

And that's CJ Daniel Kok's verdict.
