Every run has to end, and so has Arsenal's unbeaten run to Chelsea for 6 years. Lampard's 51st minute strike followed by Bridge's late strike at 87th minute. For all the smooth passing and moves, Chelsea deserved the win. And this is coming from an Arsenal supporter. From every loss, we learn something new. This time, we learn that Arsenal needs a new goalkeeper. Lehmann parried Makelele's long range shot when he really should have held on to it, and presented a shot on target for Lampard who had no chance of missing from that range. Next, Lehmann came off his line, and was totally stranded in no-man's land when a cross landed at Gudjohnsen's feet, only for the Icelander to see his shot blocked off the line by Ashley Cole. And the sucker punch came at the 87th minute when Wayne Bridge hammered a shot across the goal past a flailing Lehmann (What the fuck!)

Match analysis now. What happened to the fluid passing of Arsenal in the second half? A lot of unforced errors, skewed clearances, mis-passes all over the pitch. Hmmm, I guess it is over-confidence. And Henry was removed for Bergkamp. For all of Bergkamp's brilliance, removing Henry is equivalent to suicide against Chelsea. And my point proven.

So, Arsenal's treble dream up in smoke within 4 days. Better luck next season I guess, with a bigger squad, and a new goalkeeper. A home loss to Chelsea... how embarassing. Sleep...
