This is Daniel reporting from New York, after finally getting a hotel room with internet connection. Which is free too.

Reached here with my body clock all screwed up. But nonetheless, I set out to walk the streets of New York in my haggard state. I was staying at the intersection of Lexington Ave and 48th St, and I somehow managed to reach Madison Park somewhere south, but not as far south as I would have wanted. So no chance for Ground Zero or the Statue of Liberty this round. Maybe the next time I come here. Still, I was able to check out the National Library, Grand Central Terminal, Times Square, the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building. Many nice buildings around here actually.

Several points to note about NY:
1. All the roads are in a grid, so no chance of getting lost.
2. UPS and Fedex trucks really look like what they appear on television. They have a seat for the driver and just a jump-seat next to him.
3. Cops are everywhere.
4. The fire department buildings are really like BaseOne from the Ghostbusters.
5. Gay men can kiss on the streets and nobody will have a second glance.
6. Helicopters can hover over the same spot for one hour without moving.
7. In movies, the reason why people walking in the background don't stare at the camera is because someone will walk alongside the cameraman and ask us to walk slowly and not to stare at the camera.
8. There is Wendy's in NY.
9. There are many dogs in NY.
10. NY time is 13 hours behind Singapore time.

ZZZzzz...
