I have a really long break before my next flight out, which is this Sunday. So what did the office do? They made me do free work at the sims. And I am not paid extra for it! Sigh. Nonetheless, good practice since I will be doing the exact same exercises in two weeks. So I should not really complain. But, I would still rather rot at home instead.
It's been really hot these few days. Although the skies tease us with some drops of rain in the afternoon, it still remains humid and hot for the rest of the day. Night times are the worst. I guess this means that TwoDoorsUp will stop using the water heater and use his own bathroom again.
I was on my way to Punggol the other day in the bus when this kid just let go a deadly bio bomb. Everyone in the bus could smell it. Luckily, the bus driver was a strong man. If not, we would have crashed and burned.
I was listening to my music the other day and realized that I can relate some songs to different phases of my life. For example, the first song that I can ever remember is Beat It by Wacko Jacko. Then, when I discovered that there is more to music than what I played on the piano and my dad's Red River Valley era songs, I discovered songs like Winds of Change, 2Legit2Quit, Ice Ice Baby and a whole lot more. Then in secondary school, I started to listen to the radio stations like Time Highway Radio (before they lost the FlyGuy and went downhill after that), Hitz and Mix FM stations. Then, in Singapore, I realized that those radio stations actually were quite boring when I started tuning in to Singapore radio stations. I can't really remember that many songs from JC, but I remember the particularly irritating song called Big, Big World. During university orientation, I particularly remember Bent by Matchbox20 and Kryptonite by Three Doors Down (not related to TwoDoorsUp). In Perth, it was Gwen Stefani, Stereophonics, Black Eyed Peas (Thanks to GNeo). And now, when I look at my playlist and I see all these songs, which I actually consider as new, I realize how old I really am.
Ten years since secondary school. Haven't heard anything of a reunion, if anything is going to happen.
Time to get ready for free labour tonight...
