Been having a jolly good time sitting on my ass relaxing. Not really. Actually, been sitting on my ass doing up our course project. The powers-that-be decided that we are having too much free time twiddling our thumbs when we are not flying. So, they decided to give us some extra work to do. Excellent, something to keep us pre-occupied... We have been assigned to revamp some of the powerpoint presentations to include some sound clips, videos and animations. And as we trudge along doing this, I am constantly reminded that what we are doing is an exact opposite of what we were taught to do back in university. Presentations are not supposed to be graphic and video intensive. Instead, the presenter should be doing most of the talking. At the end of the day, I don't think we will need a presenter for our presentation anymore. But, we just do what we are told. No questions asked. And surprise, surprise, guess who is in charge of doing all the final amendments and editing... yours truly, of course. Good ol' me who was in charge of numerous projects back in university is AGAIN in charge of a project here. I guess I don't really trust anyone to do a proper job. Not saying that I am the best at it, but at least I know I will do something about it. Can't really say that about some of guys here...

Spoke at the House Meeting as the Chief Planner for the first time. FEEL MY POWER! Alright then, moving along...

More and more cars are appearing in the car park. Not only is the quantity increasing, so is the quality of the cars. In the past month, a new sports car, a Toyota Hilux, a Toyota Camry and a few others have been thrown into the mix of run-down cars. Before this, only SINFC3 could compare with some of the cars back in Singapore. Now, SINFC3 pales in comparison. However, my trusty Magna is still doing fine. Maybe I will give it the ultimate test: The Albany Challenge. Then we will see if it is really worth Au$800. Yes, it is dirt cheap, but still... it is money.

First area solo today. As my instructor put it so simply, I am like a dog on a leash, and now the leash has been extended.

Temperature in the morning was 4 deg. Now I really am freezing my ass off. But it wasn't as bad as yesterday when it went down to 1 deg. However, once the workload in the plane increases, you don't really feel the cold.

Surprisingly, the area was quite crowded. In some popular areas anyway. Nonetheless, the wide vast area still beats Area Alpha back in Singapore. Another instructor said that was like skating in a bath tub. Now, we have a land area the size of Singapore to play in. Let the good times roll!

A friend of mine had his car hit by a SUV. The SUV was driven by a woman. Really, women and SUVs make a deadly concoction. Women should be banned from driving SUVs! They just can't see where they are reversing, especially in underground car parks. Also, nobody should get yellow cars anymore, since they apparently have a history of getting into "bumps". To get the bump and a broken signal lamp fixed, it is going to cost my friend Au$880. That is twice the cost of the car. I think the lady is just going to buy over the car, which will be the cheaper option. I am guessing that the cost to fix my other friend's car which was almost totalled at the front would be about Au$3000.

And that's it for today. Or maybe, that's all for this week...

I don't get it. Once upon a time, I could blog just about anything that happened. I remember that sometimes, I would post more than once a day. I don't know if you have realized it, but these days, there just isn't anything to say. Partly due to my reluctance to mention too much about work. Partial pass there. If I were to completely omit everything, I would probably have to shut down this blog.

Another winter day with overcast skies and showers. Good time to blog in my warm and cozy room. Time to get back to personal posts instead of work. Let's see, music that I really enjoy... Linkin Park, but I am embarassed to say that the LP and JZ remix really stank. I'm sticking to Meteora and Hybrid Theory. A bit of Reanimation will still do. And I also have to admit that I am a RW whore as pointed out by my coursemate one night out, I could almost sing along to "Old Before I Die". But I felt much better today when his laptop suddenly belted out "Supreme". Haha, who's the whore now! And to top it all up, the song was followed by "Someday" by MLTR... I mean, who listens to MLTR these days? Avril Lavigne still tops my playlist choice these days. So what if she sang out of tune during the Grammys a few years back.

Other stuff to do when I am bored would be to voyeur at other people's blogs. Interesting to find out about what people do. And no, I don't check out total strangers' blogs. Okay, maybe the occasional one or two. But normally, it is just the blogs of the people I hang out with. And they seem to be suffering from what I am suffering from. Nothing to blog about! Now that everything is about work, there just isn't enough time for personal space. Okay, I think I can't really complain about it when all I talk about is bumming around. But there is nothing interesting to blog about bumming right? So, the same thing. No wonder so many of them quit blogging.

And quite a way to end this post... nothing to say now. Till next time I do find something to blog...

Winter attack in Perth! I am freezing my skinny ass here. Help!

Things to do on a cold winter night:
1. Play PS2
2. Blog-voyeuring
3. Update inane stuff
4. Download Sims2 houses and skins
5. Build Sims2 houses
6. Watch Gundam (which is being rationed by roommate, dammit...)
7. Take long hot showers while counting the dots on the ceiling

Woke up today and found sunlight coming in through the windows. Now, that's a rare sight. Which meant a good day to fly today. Instructor jokingly asked if I could still remember how to fly. And a jacket should now be on the MEL for flights these days.

Nothing much to update now. Back to blog voyeuring..

So I lied. I didn't have just one day. I had a lot more time, considering the sucky weather. It plays mind games with you, this tricky mother nature. First, it gives you sunny, clear skies. Yippee... time to get ready. Half an hour later, it is pouring. And if you are lucky, you are not stuck out there on the tarmac.

And one guy just wrecked his ride. Okay, not exactly wrecked, but it's going to be scrapped.

Back to the Sims...

I take back my words. Today's weather was good. Ok, so it started with really thick fog, but it cleared later in the morning. And with such great skies above, time to take the canary out for a spin. Too bad it died on me. But, still managed to go up later in the afternoon. And managed to sight a couple of eagles soaring quite close to me. Birdstrike alert...

One day of rest to consolidate everything before my dual on Tuesday.
To make a long story short, weather is like shite.
