Finally managed to squeeze in the flight with Mr Cruise today on a day of clear skies. And I was able to feel the effects of not flying for a week. All my procedures were haywire, and control wasn't that great either. But then it was turbulent. Not a very good excuse, but still, it is an excuse. Also, not really the best flight I had, but still good enough to pass.

Phase 3, bring it on!

The skies were blue on Monday! Not a cloud in the sky, except towards the evening when some cirrus clouds were visible. "Hey look at the cirrus clouds!" "Cirrus? Serious?" Laughter. We are easily amused. However, despite the clear blue skies, I am still waiting for my check because Mr Cruise decided to get himself sick on Monday. And it has been rainy and rainy on Tuesday and today. Sigh. Another three day break. Hopeful for blue skies tomorrow.

Back into the exercising routine! There is hope!

Phase two is almost completed. Just left with a check on Monday, which I hope to achieve, which may be wishful thinking given the lousy forecast. Anyway, I don't think I will do that bad considering I have Tom Cruise "Maverick" as my tester and co-pilot. Well, not exactly him, but at least looks like him.

Gundam Seed Destiny marathon has begun yet again, and as expected, ended prematurely. Another 5 more episodes to go till more anime withdrawal symptoms.

Today was the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Or so we were told. To commemorate the grand occasion, there were airshows at the aerodrome. So, basically the whole airport had to sit back and watch the airshows. Not like we had much of a choice because we were right smack in the middle of a really strong front. No idea what a front is? Take out Underdown and read Fronts... goddammit! Anyway, back to the airshow, it was really great seeing the vintage airplanes putting up a good show for us.

Have been taking a running sabbatical lately. Partly due to the poor weather. I better get into the system fast before I really develop my pouch.

And yet another one bites the dust. That makes three.

Had a nice dinner on Saturday with the guys, and my sister's friend who came over to Perth from Melbourne. Apparently she just packed up one day and flew over to Perth to stay at her friend's place, leaving her housemates, including my sister, all shocked. So cool. And, of course, Edwin's friend was with us for dinner too, because she will be going back to KL very soon. After dinner, we decided to lounge at a nice, cozy joint with drinks. Apparently, the restaurant rules regarding alcohol sales is quite interesting here. We can't buy any alcohol drinks unless we have the intention to buy a substantial meal. Well, we did have an intention to buy a substantial meal, except that later on, we decided against it. Well, we DID intend to...

Bought a car freshener for our car. Was actually thinking of getting floor mats for it, but will consult the co-owner first. The lights for inside the car looked good too, and so was the steering wheel cover. Had an eye on the exhaust muffler too.

I'm stuck right in the middle of the most crap weather these few months. It has been just days and days of rain and gale-strong winds. Which means days and days of sitting around and praying for better weather.

I posted previously about a coursemate who went back home to get his wisdom tooth extracted. It was roughly two weeks ago. And everyone is pretty much at where we were two weeks ago. That is how bad it has been.

Having said that, I must say that I am going to miss the cold, crisp, winter mornings. Although it does get very, very cold at times and my skinny ass gets frozen just by walking out of my room, I find it very relaxing and comfortable. Definitely much more comfortable than the hot, humid tropical weather. I dread going back to that climate. Even now with spring coming, I think it is going to be tough adjusting to the heat. But at least the change is gradual. Mother nature is much more forgiving in that sense. I still remember after my Eurotrip, I almost melted when the MRT doors opened at Clementi. Reality bit, hard. But I digress. With summer coming, gone will be the days of calm, turbulent-free flights. The feeling you get when you are 4000' AGL on a winter morning, just looking down at the lakes and green paddocks is surreal. Soon, it will be sweating at 4000' AGL looking down at dried lakes and brown paddocks.

Yet another batch of newbies have arrived. Which means, yet another welcome party and... you got it, pizza night.

Got a new set of hub caps for my ride. Car looks good now.

Speaking of cars, I would like to introduce TwoDoorsUp's car, a Nissan Skyline. But at first glance, you may think to yourself, hey, this doesn't look like a Skyline. But it is! It's just freaking old! Or, vintage, he may say. And when you sit in his car, you will be even more convinced that it is not a Skyline. I think I am doing Skyline a great injustice by calling TwoDoorsUp's car a Skyline. From today onwards, it shall be known as Ol' Betsy. I like the ring to that name. I think it likes it too. Ol' Betsy it is then.

After much thinking, I realized that I was not very much stressed in secondary school. Maybe because I was too smart back then. Hah! And my level of intelligence stayed stagnant until now. That is why the stress level increased...

YC recently complained that he has been labeled as grumpy.

You are talking to the real grump around here.

Sometimes, I get really worked up that I tend to snap at people. Which is so unlike me. Or, was so unlike me. I think it is the workload that has been piling up lately. That is the problem with having too many "ECAs". Reminds me of what one of the other cadets brought up recently when management decided to implement more work for us. He said with the never-ending work given to us, how are we supposed to actually concentrate on the real reason we are here. Is management going to be more forgiving for someone who is distracted due to these ECAs? I doubt it.

So, with more work, welcome Mr Hyde.

I don't remember feeling this frustrated and angry for a long time. Maybe the last time was back in secondary school. Yes, I was an angry kid.

Oh, a bit of stress back in JC too. Came with the title I got when I was shipped over.

And then, university was my chill out time. That must have explained my results. I don't blame one of the interviewers when he remarked that although I did well in secondary school and in JC, I seemed to have "lost my way in university".

But now, it is back.

At times, I really have to make a conscious effort to cool down, take a deep breath, and look at the situation at hand.

Okay, my new resolution is to change my way of expressing my frustration: silence. Instead of letting out everything by snapping at people, I think I shall just keep quiet. Sort of like when I am absolutely drunk, I will just concuss at one corner instead of yelling gibberish. So, likewise, when I am absolutely angry, I shall just keep quiet. I think people will appreciate it more too.

Nonetheless...

I need to relinquish some duties soon.

Okay, only registered bloggers are now allowed to post comments. Have enough of these mofos who just come along spamming my comment pages.
I have been tagged by the now-defunct Papa Bear.

Not sure what this is supposed to be, but here goes:

List three random facts about yourself that your friends might not know. And then tag five other friends to do it.

1. When I was nine or ten, I got quite a bad scolding and beating from my dad, and almost ran off to my uncle's place just across the main road. But got stopped by my maid. Don't think she was worried about me getting lost. More likely she was afraid she would get in trouble for letting that to happen.

2. During one of my St John duty hours, I slept on one of the beds, which was illegal. But hey, I was a nerd then, had to sleep late because of all my homework. Woke up just before the Sergeant walked into the room. Good thing he does not read my blog now. I hope.

3. I punched the irritating class bully back in primary 5 smack on his nose, only to be punched back on my cheek. Ouch. Good thing the form teacher, Mrs Ooi, wasn't in. Else it would be two visits to the headmaster's room on my record.

Okay, so now what I am supposed to do is to tag five other people. So, the lucky five are:

1. Paul Tan
2. Ris
3. Rohana
4. Ling Fang
5. Jenny

Well, that's the best Malay I can churn out. I wonder how on earth did I do well in my SPM, but not that well during my A-Levels. That figures.

The previous Chief Planner will be leaving tomorrow to go home. Hopefully, it will be my turn soon.
