Finally visited the dentist after almost one and a half years. She was shocked to hear it, and she reminded me to come for another check up in six months, not eighteen months. I don't mind, it's free.

Anyway, found a cavity in one of my wisdom teeth. My molar always had problems with cavities, even when I was in primary school. But it was much worse then, what with me being the lazy brat who didn't want to brush teeth before going to bed.

The Silkair guys are finally in STC going through their A320 ground school. But, just like L45, they are taking it slow and easy. Surprisingly, the 744 and 777 guys have a lot of things to do. Well, bigger planes equals thicker books, more bytes of data to read and more classes to attend. TwoDoorsUp is going to check out some places for three of us to stay in future while myself and another guy are going to be in Oz. Hope he doesn't get a stinkhole for us to live in...

Admin sure is tiring. Some days it is managable. Some days I am totally swamped with work. But, still enough time for gossips at the canteen.

The entire course is back in Singapore. That's good news for us. But better still was the fact that nobody was left alone back in Perth. The last guy only waited one day from the day the second last guy went back till his turn. So, no lonely hearts back in Perth.

From what I have heard, it is getting really crowded back in Perth. Not only are the accommodation blocks maxed out, so are the Barons. I cannot imagine those old workhorses plugging away every day. One day, it is just going to stop working.

And one guy who has been under review for like forever has been given more hours to clear his solo. That is normally good news for everyone, but I can't help but feel a little injustice in this case. From what I hear, this guy has given up his desire to continue in this profession. And ironically, management is giving him chance after chance for him to progress. Why not give these chances to other people who really want them, and not this person who doesn't appreciate them. Maybe the news I have been receiving have been skewed, but that is just what I have been told. Also, he has apparently been persuaded to continue. Pity.

Bought a pair of earphones. No problems with it.

... is back in the island.

While at the peninsula, I was able to catch up with some of the old pals. Not that many around anymore. Some are out of the country on holidays, while some are just out of the country, either studying or working. So, on Wednesday, I met up with three other "leftovers" for supper. Managed to catch up on old times, and we realized the awful truth that it is going to be 10 years from when we left secondary school. It is has been a long time. Quite a number are already married. Will be tough trying to get them out for meals next time especially since we are not close to the other half.

Also, managed to get rid of some junk that were piling up in what used to be my bedroom. These days, it is the storeroom. Threw out two computers: one is a 486DX and the other is a Pentium II 233 MHz. And in line with my father's principle of redundacy, the old Pentium III 700MHz is still lying around.

Tomorrow, it is back to the office. Oh joy.

Am back at home in KL.

Not a lot of difference, except that the house is now serviced by streamyx. So much faster, and to complement the new computer system, formerly from Singapore and Perth. A strong one this one, it survived the rough trip back from Perth, which resulted in the heatsink being knocked off and the CD drives being dislodged. Good thing the harddisks weren't in there.

Going to meet up with some of my old pals tomorrow night.

Done with the Lear exam. Was quite simple, compared to what I have been made to face before.

So, the admin work begins tomorrow. Yawn.

Ok, time for some updates.

Been out of cyberspace since I came back because I was unable to access the internet. However, after buying a laptop, I am finally online, thanks to some kind souls around my area who did not secure their wireless network. Before I bought this laptop, I was asking people when the next internet fair was going to be held. The only answer I got was "I don't know". So I bought the laptop last Sunday. And then on Friday one of the guys tells me that there is going to be one next week.

Never mind.

Ground school for the Lear started two days after I reached back. What we have done since was report in at 9AM, study from the computer, have naps, and have many meal breaks. The canteen is good. Food for the eyes.

Exam will be on Monday. Should be fine, I hope.

After that, will be taking some leave to pay a visit to my hometown. I wonder if I will still be able to find my way around there. It seems so long ago since I went home. I bet there will be more junk in my bedroom.
